Cross-country skiing & ski touring on the Lüsner Alm
Luson, the insider tip in the Eisack Valley
In the entire Eisack Valley there are around 240 groomed slopes for every level of difficulty, divided between around 25 cross-country ski trails. You will find some of these in Lüsen and on the Würzjoch. The longest high alpine pasture in South Tyrol, the Lüsner-Rodenecker Alm, stands above all for a quiet cross-country skiing area and is therefore the insider tip in the Eisacktal for all cross-country skiers. With four snow-sure cross-country trails, over 50 kilometres of trails and a fairytale Dolomite panorama, the Alm is the ideal area for cross-country skiers. The trails are prepared for both techniques, classic and skating. The Palmschoß-Würzjoch trail (approx. 8 km long) and the Kreuztal circular trail (approx. 5 km long) run along the legendary Dolomites.
In the area around the Hotel Bergschlössl there are numerous ski tours for every level of difficulty. Some of them stretch over the fraction Flitt of Luson to the Lüsner-Rodenecker Alp and over its hilly plateau. But also in the Puez Geisler Nature Park there are many tours that lead to the natural highlights of the surrounding area with a mountain panorama and a tranquillity that will be remembered for a long time.
